College yay! Time to be on our own and have fun. Time passes by and college life isn't so glamours. When social life infer with school work. We have to be disciplines when juggling work, school, social and personal life. However, sometime the social life will get the best of us, when we're lease expecting it. Our computer is open and were trying to get the assignment done and our phone suddenly rings, yet we pause and ask ourselves if we should answer the call or not. Just when its about to stop ringing we answer it. knowing we have a paper due the next morning. However, we decide to close the computer get ready and go out for the night. Instead of managing our time wisely. We end up coming home late and realizing that we have a paper due at 9 the next morning. So, we end up staying up late finishing it, then being sleep deprived during class. Who enjoys being sleep deprived during class? Not us, yet we find ourselves 9 out of 10 times being sleep deprived in class which affect our learning.Sleep deprivation. Until, we we find ourself questioning what is going to make us successful. Thats when we known that its time be a responsible adult and stay in, so we get our assignments done and get sleep. Rather than going out partying.

Trippin on Knowlage
Sammy's plans were to go to community college for two years to get his associates in business and then transfer over to C.U. to get his bachelors degree in business also. Being a smart kid all throughout grade school he knew that college would be achievable, challenging, but achievable. So he began at the age of 17, not even out of high school yet he had the greatest ambition to become the smartest person to come out of his household. His father was a piece of work but was always there for him and his mother was not much better. Being a only child he didn't really have a role model growing up. Ever since he was around 7 or 8 he always knew his rights from wrongs. Seeing your parents fight and watching them take turns going to jail can teach a kid a thing or two. When January came around it was time for him to begin his first courses. It didn't take long for him to get the hang of things and even make a few friends in the process. The math was the easiest for him, being that they put him in 050. Picture a borderline genius in a average level class. The puzzle pieces just don't fit. He was going to go into the advising office and change his courses but then he figured, screw it, I'll just coast my first semester. So he began, easy work, well at least to him it was. It didn't take too long before he meet a guy who called himself Juggs. Even his professor called this guy Juggs for some reason. One day Sammy finished a math test about a half hour early and Juggs noticed this. Sammy got up and walked out of class much earlier than everyone else like it was nothing. Sammy was just pulling out of the parking lot when he was cut off and stopped but this man. After talking to him for about five to ten minutes he found out why they call him what they call him. No matter what at any time this man would have at least one milk jug full of LSD (also know as Acid) on him at a time. He gave Sammy the sales pitch, but he wasn't trying to sell him anything. No, he was offering a trade, Sammy would do all of his school work and he would get whatever high he wanted. First thought Sammy said to himself "fuck no, I've got plans." But Juggs made only one point Sammy really cared for, and that was YOLO ( you only live once). He thought about his life and how boring it has been. Not knowing true fun, or even pleasure for that matter. so he told him, ''alright, but only if you show me some good times too." They both just smiled and the deal was done. After trying many different types of drugs he decided that he enjoyed the coke the most. Why? Because he could do it everyday and still function. He was under the impression that he was having the time of his life and things were great for him until the semester ended. He was hooked and he knew it, Juggs knew it, and even his parents knew it. Too bad for Sammy, dropping out of school wasn't the worst part. The worst part was knowing what he could have been and having to think about it.
Community
When I originally thought of college, I thought of the stereotypical things that come from TV shows or movies, like heavy drinking, parties, and super advanced class. There was a TV show called Community which is a sitcom that follows the lives of seven community college study group members. Every single person in the group have different personalities and stereotypes. The stereotypes include, the perfect record girl who cares only about getting As, the slacker, the Blondie, the nerd who knows everything about TV and Movies, the hardcore religious, and the old person who has in college too long. If you ever have a chance of watching of watch this show it is very funny. They parody everything from Star Wars to TV bottle episodes. For those of you who don't know, a bottle episode is when a they use as few non-regular cast members, effects, and sets as possible. So, if you see a TV show where the characters stay in one setting for the entire episode, then that is a bottle episode. Community has many of these which are some of the best episodes.
Decisions on Where To Go To College
A lot of people have graduated high school some time in their lives. After that certain point, people tend to think where they would want to go for college. Certain qualities may affect your decision like: the programs, finance, location, course of study, the quality of proffessors, etc.
Before I attended Red Rocks Community College, I took a tour to RRCC when I was in 11th grade. The tour guide gave me a lot of factors why RRCC was the school for me. I liked the programs, I liked the location because it was closer to where I live, I liked the cost because it was easier on my dad after he lost his job. The quality of professors is great and the course of study is well maintained. I graduated high school keeping RRCC in mind, but I was hoping to attend UCD, University of Colorado Denver. The cost was too high, location was far, quality of professors is great as well, but I decided to go to RRCC. What drew me in to RRCC was the breakfast sandwiches. Yes I said it! The BREAKFAST SANDWICHES! I would usually get 2 and the cook would know right away what I would want without asking me. They were delicious! But as I go through out the years I have liked the other factors as well, but not as much as I love the breakfast sandwiches.

There once lived an awesome individual. The guy grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Denver. Now, understand this guy grew up in a pretty poor family. Heck, he went about a year or two with heat in his house, which made winter very interesting. The one thing though, that was always on his mind was what was he going to do with his life? Was he going to finish school or was he going to get a job for the rest of his life? Well, the question puzzled his brain for a few days, but when the time ran out, he decided he was going to finish his education while he was young. His parents were all excited to hear he was going to finish school and get his degree in a specific field. So, the student decides to apply to the coolest community college in his area, and that was Red Rocks. It took about a few days to find out if he got accepted yet, but when he found out, he was jumping for joy. "Oh Boy! I get to learn more," he said. When the day arrived, his mom took a picture of him. "Man, time goes by fast," she said.

The school year would start out awesome for the kid. Straight A's in his classes, but somewhere down the line, that all change for him. He wound up failing his class by 4 points which irritated him to the core. However, thanks to a new semester starting up in January, he was able to get the opportunity to rewrite his wrongs. now he is passing both of his classes with flying colors.
I thank you for sitting through my story, even though it some what short, but know that I'm trying everyday to make my life that just much better than it was before. Stay Positive, Stay Classy, Stay Safe.
The VERY Secret Life of College Students
One of the most cliche things about a college student is that they're all party animals, sleep deprived, and the most expert procrastinators. Though some of these may be absolutely true there are some that are the most intelligent people you have ever seen in front of your eyes. You may start to begin that college will just be another piece of cake, like high school, well you're completely wrong about that.
It is one of the most stressful years of your entire life. The first week you notice you only have 20 dollars to spend on food. Well it's time to buy your 50 cent ramen noodles to just survive the first year. During the year your sleep schedule will be all over the place. Some days will be relaxing and sleeping early, but then you realize you had an exam the next day so you stay up until you just pass out. Then you start you meet people and get to know them and understand who they are. Then they start to tell you that they party every single week and do not study at all. You're wondering how in the hell do they have better grades than you if they just party every week! Makes absolutely no sense since you studied for hours and still got a C.
But at the end of all these years of studying, lack of sleep, irrelevant web searches about cats. You graduate of what you wanted to become and finally became an adult (hopefully) because for the rest of these years it can determine whether you're still poor of all that debt you own, or become a billionaire of some invention clueless people use. HAVE FUN!
Secret Lives of College Students
What high school students expect college to be like:
Mom and Dad will pay for my tuition and books. I will get financial aid. Every weekend I'll go out with my friends and have some drinks and bang every girl I see. I won't have to work, just go to school. My teachers won't be all over me about turning in homework or studying for a test.
What college is really like:
Going into college was more than what we thought it would be. For example, you don't have a teacher to hold your hand and remind you of due dates. Instead, if you don't turn your work in on time it becomes your fault. You have more homework, responsibilities, less friends, less money, less sleep, less time. You just grab whatever you can to eat before you walk out the door. College makes you become an adult sooner than you thought because you start to receive your first bills, living on your own, and not having enough gas money to put into your car.
College isn't for the WEAK!!!💪
